Boogie Cousins is Mentally Weak and Fits the Bill Perfectly for the Warriors

Is DeMarcus Cousins a great basketball player? Yes. Has he proven over the years that he is unable to contain his emotions? Yes. In just 48 games in the 2017-2018 season, Cousins racked up 10 technical fouls and was ejected twice. Over the course of his career, he has accumulated 118 technical fouls and 13 ejections. For those of you that don’t know… yes… that is, in fact, a bunch. His all-star level play on the court has often times been overshadowed by his attitude. As a relatively emotional guy, who has been known to show his emotions a bit too much at times, it would be disingenuous for me to say that I have an issue with ALL of Boogie’s antics in the past. Although, I have had an issue with some. When he has a good reason to get upset, I’m totally okay with it, but often times he has been in the wrong and still throws a massive, 5-year-old-slamming-his-head-on-the-floor, type of tantrum. DeMarcus has shown an inability to differentiate between times that it’s okay to act like an insane person and times that he has no case whatsoever. In fact, he seems so out of touch with reality in some moments that he might as well be apart of the Real Housewives. The point of all of this is that he is mentally small. He plays a big, tough guy on the court but when push comes to shove, he can’t handle the pressure and he can’t handle anything that doesn’t go his way. He took less money (5.3M over 1 year) to be apart of a team that already has 4 all-stars and who will inevitably win another championship in 2019, unless some freak injury happens to one of one of their other all-NBA players. Oh wait, that still leaves them with 4 so they’ll still probably win it all. The Warriors are no stranger to bringing in strays, though, they have an innate ability to lure in sad little pups that wouldn’t have been able to make it on their own. Yes, that was a shot at you, Kevin. This signing has nothing on what you did two years ago, you are still the weakest of them all.
